Benefiting foster and abused children served by the Dallas Permanency Court
In the summer of 2015, Foster Kids Charity launched our annual mission to ensure that every foster child we serve starts the school year with the supplies they need to succeed. These children—many of whom have faced abuse, neglect, or unstable living situations—deserve the same opportunities and confidence as their peers.
Each year, we partner with the Dallas Permanency Court and local community members to distribute backpacks filled with school supplies to youth in foster care throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Together, we can make sure no child is left behind.
Your donation of $25 provides:
Donate online to sponsor one or more backpacks or host a supply drive at your business, school, or faith organization
Join us on Thursday, September 11, 2025, as Foster Kids Charity honors the lives and service of those we lost on September 11, 2001. Together, we’ll commemorate this day of reflection and service by assembling 2,977 food bags and kits—one for each victim of that tragic day.
September 11th is not only Patriot Day but also a National Day of Service and Remembrance. It’s a day when Americans of all ages and backgrounds come together to turn a day of tragedy into one of hope, unity and service to our communities.
By preparing food bags for teens in need, we honor the legacy of those who were lost and embrace the spirit of service that defines this day.
We invite you to participate in this meaningful event in the following ways:
We are collecting individually wrapped snacks, such as:
Ship items to our office or assemble off site with your group and deliver by September 11, 2025.
Together, we can transform this day into one of service, remembrance, and hope. Your participation ensures that the lives we honor will continue to inspire acts of kindness and unity in our community.

While most people are enjoying summer, at Foster Kids Charity, we’re already planning for Christmas—because making the holidays special for hundreds of foster children takes time, love, and community support.
Each year, we serve foster youth across Dallas-Fort Worth—children who have experienced abuse, neglect, and instability. Many will spend the holidays away from their families, and for some, it may be their first Christmas in care.
That’s why we start early, and we’re asking you to help us make this year unforgettable.
